Modular Ecosystem with the MOD-31 Nightfighter Bridge
Designed from the ground up to work with the MOD-31 Nightfighter Modular Powered Bridge, enabling centralized power management, auto shutoff, and tool-free attachment using captive thumb screws. This setup enables you to transform your monoculars into a cohesive binocular system in seconds.
How does the modular functionality work?
The Phantom re-purposes the electrical contacts near the 1/4-20 mounting interface, which were originally used for a shutoff feature with some PVS-14 arms and accessories. Instead, these contacts now allow for power routing from external sources, such as the Nightfighter powered bridge system. This enables centralized power control and auto shutoff functionality when used with the bridge.
Tool-Free Mounting
Attach or detach the Phantom from the Nightfighter bridge using captive thumb screws—no tools required.
External Power Input
Power is transmitted through electrical contacts on the mounting interface, allowing centralized power routing from the Nightfighter bridge.
Auto Shutoff and IPD Stops
The Nightfighter bridge includes IPD (Interpupillary Distance) stops that can be fine-tuned for a comfortable viewing experience. Once set, your chosen IPD remains consistent. The bridge also supports auto shutoff on articulation, helping streamline power management.
Flexible Field of View Options:
Compatible with both standard 40° and 55° wide field-of-view (FOV) configurations via interchangeable MOD-14 arms on the Nightfighter bridge.
Advanced Power Management:
Built-in electronics handle automatic switching between the internal CR123A battery and external power from the Nightfighter bridge. Enjoy seamless integration and simplified battery management.
Upgradeable to Dedicated Binocular Configuration:
The MOD-14 Phantom uses the same pod design as our upcoming Nightfighter-AG (Auto Gain) and Nightfighter-MG (Manual Gain) dedicated binocular housings.
By replacing the battery compartment with the MOD-31 pod topper (available soon), you can convert your MOD-14 Phantom into a dedicated binocular pod—enjoying the benefits of a dedicated binocular setup without purchasing entirely new devices.
