Experience the Pinnacle of Modular Night Vision Technology

The MOD-31 Nightfighter Bridge + Dual Phantom Bundle is the ultimate turnkey solution for those seeking a next-generation, lightweight, and highly adaptable binocular night vision setup. Combining two MOD-14 Phantom monocular housings—the lightest on the market—with the innovative MOD-31 Nightfighter Modular Powered Bridge, this bundle offers unparalleled modularity, manual gain control, autoshutoff, streamlined power management, and customizable fields of view.

Note: This listing includes the MOD-31 Nightfighter Modular Powered Bridge, two MOD-14 Phantom monocular housings, and your choice of MOD-14 arms (40° or 55°). Image intensifier tubes, lenses, and other accessories are not included.

Key Features

Unmatched Lightweight Performance:

MOD-14 Phantom Housings: At only 1.6 oz per housing, the Phantom sets a new benchmark for ultra-lightweight monocular housings.

MOD-31 Nightfighter Bridge: Weighing just 2.5 oz, the Nightfighter bridge provides advanced modularity and powered functionality without the added bulk.

Weight Comparisons

Mil-Spec PVS-14s on Standard (Non-Modular) Bridge 26–28 oz
Dual Phantoms on Nightfighter Bridge (Noctis) ~18 oz
Dual Phantoms on Nightfighter Bridge (RPO 3.0) ~15.5 oz (Under PVS-31 weight!)

By pairing the ultra-light Phantom housings with the Nightfighter bridge, you achieve a cohesive binocular system that’s lighter than many legacy binocular devices—significantly reducing neck strain and operator fatigue during extended operations.

How It Works with the MOD-14 System

Both the MOD-14 Phantom and MOD-14 Lightfighter housings leverage the two electrical contacts near the standard PVS-14 1/4-20 mounting interface for external power input. Originally intended for legacy auto-shutoff functions, these contacts are now repurposed by the Nightfighter bridge for power routing and centralized power management:

Centralized Power Control: The Nightfighter bridge can supply power directly to the Phantom housings, eliminating the need to manage separate batteries in each monocular (though each Phantom can also run independently on its own CR123A battery).

Auto Shutoff on Articulation: Flip a monocular up to turn it off, flip it down to turn it on—streamlining operation and preserving battery life. Each Phantom pod articulates independently.

Seamless Power Switching: The Phantom housings automatically switch between internal and external power sources.

Modular and Adaptable

MOD-14 Arms:

40° Standard FOV MOD-14 Arms: Maintain the classic 40° field of view for traditional night vision applications.

55° Wide FOV MOD-14 Arms: Angle each Phantom outward by 7.5°, expanding your total field of view to a panoramic 55°, enhancing situational awareness.

Tool-Free Configuration:
Attach or detach each Phantom housing using captive thumb screws—no tools required.

Single or Dual Setup:
Run a single monocular if needed, or use both for a binocular configuration. Hand one off to a teammate in seconds, no tools required, and keep both units fully functional.

Innovative Power Management

Repurposed Electrical Contacts:
The Nightfighter bridge uses the two electrical contacts on the MOD-14 Phantom mounting interface to channel power and enable auto shutoff.

Auto Shutoff Functionality:
Articulate either Phantom housing upward to power it down automatically. Lower it back down to restore power instantly, conserving battery life and reducing wear.

Power Switching:
Your Phantoms can draw power from their internal CR123A batteries or from the Nightfighter bridge’s external power source. This dual-power approach ensures flexibility and redundancy in the field.

Interpupillary Distance (IPD) Stops

Customizable Viewing Comfort:
The MOD-14 arms come equipped with IPD stops, allowing you to precisely adjust the spacing between the two Phantom housings. Set it once and enjoy a comfortable, repeatable fit every time you use your night vision system.

Future-Proof and Upgradeable

Upgrade to Dedicated Binocular Configuration:
Currently, the Nightfighter bridge works perfectly with MOD-14 Phantom housings and MOD-14 arms for a flexible, quick-detach modular system. If you prefer a more streamlined dedicated binocular configuration in the future, the upcoming MOD-31 pod toppers will allow direct pod-to-bridge mounting—no arms required.

Nightfighter-AG (Auto Gain) and Nightfighter-MG (Manual Gain) Coming Soon: These dedicated binocular housing variants will provide a more integrated solution. While this setup requires a torx tool for reconfiguration, it offers even further weight savings. The choice is yours—stick with the flexible MOD-14 arms, or evolve into a dedicated binocular system.

Frequently Asked Questions

Q: What is included in the bundle?
A: The bundle includes the MOD-31 Nightfighter Modular Powered Bridge, two MOD-14 Phantom monocular housings, and your choice of MOD-14 arms (40° or 55° FOV). Lenses, image intensifier tubes, and other accessories are sold separately.

Q: Can I use this bundle with other monoculars or devices?
A: The MOD-31 Nightfighter bridge is specifically designed to work seamlessly with the MOD-14 Phantom and MOD-14 Lightfighter monoculars, or PVS-14s upgraded with Lightfighter battery compartments.

Q: How do I choose between the 40° and 55° Field of View Arms?
A: Consider your operational needs—40° is ideal for traditional applications, while 55° provides a wider field of view for enhanced situational awareness. You can also select both sets for maximum versatility. 40° will maintain the highest center resolution, and 55° will provide the most FOV at the expense of a small drop in resolution.

Q: Will I need tools to reconfigure the system?
A: The MOD-14 arms attach in seconds without any tools, using the two thumb screws. Swapping MOD-14 arms with different FOV on the Nightfighter bridge will require a tool. The upcoming dedicated binocular configuration with pod toppers will require a torx tool, if the user decides to swap to them.

Q: Can I upgrade this bundle to a dedicated binocular system later?
A: Yes. By adding MOD-31 pod toppers (available soon), you can convert your dual Phantom setup into a dedicated binocular configuration (Nightfighter-AG or Nightfighter-MG) without needing the arms. Or, continue enjoying the quick-detach modularity of the MOD-14 arms—your choice.
